He knows that the end is near and that he must suffer greatly mentally and physically and then die a slow painful death. I tried to imagine the things that kept him awake as the apostles slept. How many people are also in their 'garden of Gethsemane' today. Maybe an elderly person in the autumn of their life who fears the end or someone facing terminal illness.....

Very thought-provoking, almost like a character study, sometimes I wonder if Jesus went to the end with an unnatural calm or if he felt very human emotions like fear, hesitation, and doubt? Often times movies that deal with his crucifixion they portray Jesus as just this idealistic Hero with little to no emotion on going to his end but these are my old memories from old and likely obscure Jesus films of the 60s, 70s, and 80s
