Ray D'Arcy will be at home in the sectarian RTE

Anti-catholic sectarian bigot, philistine, ignoramus, bore. Pig headed, narrow-minded, loud, rabble-rousing, populace-pleasing. Plays to an anti-catholic, anti-religion gallery that blame the catholic church for all of Ireland's ills (most recently he blamed the fact that not enough women are breast-feeding their babies on the catholic church too. I know. Ridiculous. Especially as Pope Francis is very clear about women feeding their babies that way www.independent.co.uk/news/peo… ) . China and North and South Korea, that have no catholic church, must be paradises. . Hit by a middle age crisis, Ray is a fifty year old man who does indeed feel like he is cool and down with the kids. If I was an aspiring comedian or music act I just couldn't bring myself to sell my soul and go on his show like so many do.

Also his sidekick on the show a hippy called Will Hanafin is also very anti-catholic. He writes for the Sunday Independent and recently did a hatchet job on Pope Francis saying he wasn't going along with that old 'help the poor' line and before that he went 'undercover' to several different priests getting them to hear his confession (how brave!!!) so that he could see what different 'penances' each give for the same set of sins . He has no respect for religions he obviously isn't a member of and as a result he fits well into the show.

Conor Pope (who used to be a regular on the show when I used to listen. Maybe he still is. I wouldn't know) hates all pro-life people and treated young ladies from a pro-life group badly, calling them names and he has tweeted his contempt for their (young, mostly female) pro-life group on Twitter.

So, all things considered, what a lovely show the Ray D'Arcy show is. I can't wait until the rest of the country gets as sick of it as I did.

Another thing is the irish media. The so-called 'news'papers have nothing but praise for Ray D'Arcy and his show. Every week there is some more 'news' about his show that is nothing but promotion for it. Ray said something or had someone z-list celebrity on and it's 'news'. Ireland is such a small country that they scratch each other's backs and there is no such thing as calling a spade a spade. The in-breeding is suffocating for quality and objectivity.

How typical! Ray D'Arcy will soon be on our screens hosting 'School around the corner'. This means that the obnoxious, smug, catholic-hating presenter will have been in catholic schools making the show. Typical.
